National STEM Movement Malaysia will be hosting the 1st Asia Pacific STEM Roundtable 2018 in Kuala Lumpur. This inaugural meeting will congregate leaders and policy makers to connect, share experiences and collaborate to bring STEM education to greater heights. The roundtable is important to bring together members from the Asia Pacific Region to form a consortium in order to provide a platform to discuss STEM issues, challenges and possible solutions. With this APAC STEM Roundtable 2018, we seek to create a network amongst the APAC STEM leaders where they can exchange ideas and a platform for the leaders to collaborate and support in promoting STEM in the Asia Pacific region.

Six issues will be presented and discussed during the two days event including Women in STEM, Higher Order Thinking, Community Engagement, Play-Based Learning, STEMpreneurship and Engagement of Technology-Based Industry. This roundtable is being convened to enable leaders from across the STEM policy, research, and implementation communities to exchange views on the issues in each session. About Us
National STEM Movement
In 2015, National STEM Movement (NSM) was formed with a group of concerned academicians convened to discuss the declining performance in science among students, both at the secondary and university levels.
It has been established on the basis of restoring the interest on STEM in the community among the students. The movement takes pride in its mission to nurture greater interest and understanding in science and mathematics among students in primary and secondary schools.
This movement is led by Dato Professor Dr Noraini Idris. NSM Malaysia is driven by a group of enthusiastic and passionate Academicians (Universities, Schools, Institutions), Policy Markers, Agencies, Industries and a group of individuals who worked together to advance their shared-passion on STEM programmes for the country.
